Last Sunday marked Kris's 2nd Father's Day. A year ago we celebrated with Tori in the NICU, and look how much she's grown now! Actually these are some Daddy Pics from the photo shoot at the end of April, so she's a bit bigger now. But there were so many cute pictures from that day! We spent Father's Day at home, just hanging out. I made Kris a little book from Shutterfly called "The Adventures of Daddy and Torrance". It turned out really cute and was filled with my favorite Tori/Daddy pics from the last year. I hope they will have fun looking at it together in the years to come. Tori is so lucky to have such a great Dad!

Family Vacation
And when I say Family, I mean the ENTIRE Zimmerman Clan, in full force, caravanning up I-5 North! What an adventure it was. Tori got to meet both Great Grandma's as well as a host of extended family that I'm not even sure what they are called in relation to Tori (my cousin's son is Tori's cousin once removed?) In any case, it was a whirlwind trip, full of firsts and Tori did really well in the car for so long. We may not have vacationed in a foreign country, but it was still a lot of fun. Below is after her first s'more, which she instantly played in the sand after eating, hence the Sandy Face.
Tori pets Joe-Bob the donkey- her first animal pet! (that's not a dog or cat)
She was so good to let Great Grandmother Zimmerman hold her!
And here's Great Grand-Nanny, my mom's mom.

It was an exhausting trip. When the baby slept, everyone slept!
Tori loved playing with Uncle Jon!

Peek-a-boo!
Tori discovered this form of peek-a-boo a few months ago. It's lost some of the original appeal, I think; when she first started doing this she would be there in front of the curtain for a long time playing peek-a-boo. But it's still really cute and this video captures another adorable Tori moment!
Tori's Birthday Party
Tori had her 1st Birthday Party on May 23, 2009. It was a beautiful day in our backyard, decorated in pink and white streamers, pink balloons, a strawberry cake and strawberry ice cream and pink lemonade. What a treat to celebrate Tori's first year with so many family and friends!
We got plenty of cake smashing pictures, so that is why there are so many pics for this post- it was too hard to choose! Tori was a doll that day- well, she looked like a doll in her cute polka dot dress and new pink shoes, but she was so interactive with all the friends who came to see her. She has definitely turned a corner in her ability to deal with new faces and situations with ease. The best part of the party was when she was playing the "clapping game" in which she would go in front of one person and clap till they clapped back at her, and then she moved on to someone else..... she was quite the little entertainer!

Swimming like a Fish!
Tori has been enrolled in the Penguin class at the Y for the past 10 weeks. Tomorrow is the last lesson:-( But luckily, she has become quite a fan of the water, which is what I was hoping for. Just in time for summer.
